The most wonderful thing about being a photographer is the privilege of taking part in people’s lives. Who else gets to be around people who are celebrating life through engagements, weddings, births, holidays, graduations, and family get-togethers? My work is never boring because it’s like an adventure everyday.
This all started in seventh grade. When all my friends were asking for Playstations and Gameboys, I was begging mom and dad for cameras, lenses, and tripods. My first subjects were everything from goldfish to piano keys. My sister and two brothers still run when they see me coming with a camera in my hand.
Since then, I am still photographing everything and everybody. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded with very talented friends who have critiqued me honestly and taught me to be hardest on myself.
I wish I could say that I’ve learned everything about this craft, but I can’t. I learn something new almost daily. I thank God for all the opportunities He’s given me. I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love.

What interesting pictures! Amanda is so lovely. I especially like the one of her on the porch of Kent House.
Beautiful Bride - gorgeous pictures - very fun wedding. Alison, Trey and I had a blast. I love that picture with Trey and Amanda - the blue in Trey’s eyes really pops. You are a very talented Photographer.
Hey Josiah. I am truly impressed with your photographs! Are you a student at Ruston High? I did my student teaching there in the Spring of 2004. I loved the four years I spent in Ruston, and I’m thrilled to know your talent is adding to the fabulous town of Ruston!
Hey Josiah! A few of my friends have gotten either their senior pictures or family pictures done by you and I have heard nothing but positive feed back from them. I’m interested in getting you to do my senior pictures-but how far in advance do i need to make reservations?

Just upgraded my Nikon to one a a little better. I love taking shots of nature in action. I so wished I could be back in Ruston…had so much fun their when I was in college!
I saw your pictures on Misty Smith’s facebook from the photos you did from her wedding and I must say that you are unbelievably talented. You pictures are stunning and you have an eye like I have never seen before. I hope to get married in Hawaii in the near future and I am packing you up with us to take some pics!! Did you go to LA Tech? I am a 2005 grad.
